| Knuckle Imprint / Music Blog | | | Finally! | After some well received inclusions on various compilation albums including Norman Jay's "Good Times 7"(Resist), the Electron's "Electric Soul 3"(PIAS) and "Freeness", The UK's multi influenced Bare Knuckle Soul release their first EP on their own label , Knuckle Imprint.
EP 1 contains four powerful, and stylistically diverse tracks. The stripped technical rawness of signature tune "Bare Knuckle Soul" contrasts with the frenzied Science fiction of the Go-Go/bashment influenced "Moondust". The fabulous guest vocals of Terri Walker grace "MInd of Frames" a vintage sounding classic soul tune armed with summertime vocal arrangements, and "She won't leave me" portrays a domestic tragedy wrapped up in a the wonkiest of beats and bass lines.
A much anticipated album is to follow shortly as the band finally allow us to hear what all the fuss is about | | 2007-12-29 10:56:15 | | BLOG ARCHIVE
